- 2022: With SEIU and CCRA, secured enactment through AB 156 of legal protection for the words "court reporter," "digital reporter," and "reporter," which are now illegal to use in connection with offering or providing of court reporting services unless the person is a licensed reporter.
- 2021: With CCRA, enacted SB 241 (Umberg) finally ending the unfair competition of Big Boxes operating without the same regulatory oversight as applies to CSR-owned firms; the strictest such law in the nation.
- 2020: Like doing remote depos? Thank CalDRA's sponsored SB 1146 (Umberg) that enacted the law that made statewide remote depositions clearly lawful and therefore broadly possible.
- 2020: Launched a massive national petition drive obtaining 17,880 signatures and which, along with CalDRA's lobbying for freelancers, secured amendments to AB 2257, which amended AB 5; amendments that secured independent contracting as a way of life for freelancers.
- 2017: Turned aside AB 1631, an effort by the Big Box corporations to enter the California market with no safeguards.
