INFORMATION FOR COURT REPORTING STUDENT APPLICANTS

The Deposition Reporters Association of California is awarding up the $2,000 in scholarship funds to deserving court reporting students who meet the following criteria:

  1. Student member of CalDRA
  2. California resident
  3. Currently enrolled in a California approved court reporting program and has maintained excellent attendance
  4. 180-and-above speed classes, in qualifier classes or sitting for the California CSR exam.

To be eligible you must be a student member of CalDRA. If you are not currently a student member of CalDRA, please apply online before continuing with this scholarship application http://bit.ly/StudentsJoinDRA

In order to be eligible for scholarship consideration, CalDRA also requires all of the following documents to be submitted by the deadline:

  1. Online application completed
  2. Personal statement
  3. Copy of official latest school transcript
  4. Two letters of recommendation

Please download and fill out the scholarship application form by clicking HERE. All documents are to be delivered via e-mail to the scholarship chair.  Each file must be named with the corresponding content title followed by your name, e.g. Application – John Doe. 

All required documents are due November 30, 2017, at 12:00 midnight.  Incomplete applications or noncompliance of scholarship rules will automatically disqualify applicant.

In-person interviews may be conducted and the winners will be announced February 2018.  The scholarship may be used at the discretion of the recipient for school-related and court reporting-related expenses.  All information will be kept in the strictest confidence within CalDRA's Scholarship Committee and Board of Directors.
